Tucked away amongst a tangle of back streets, the International Music Centre Ashram is run by a family of musicians and maybe that is the reason why the tradition plays a huge part of their performances rather that business. The ashram hosts amazing musical concerts on Wednesday and Saturday all year long at 7:50 PM and teach music.
Run by tabla player Shri Keshava Rao Nayak and santoor player Sri Shivaji Rao Nayak Kevale, the ashram is more about bestowing the fine art of music as a gift among those who are keen to receive it. The music lessons include leaning sitar, tabla and flute. Apart from this, there are classical dance tuitions too.
