The Latif Shah and the Nuagarh are the two dams across the Karmansa. This is a historical place related to a sufi saint Hazrat Latif Shah Beer Rahmatullah. Latif Shah dam is just 3 km away from chakia. Chakia is a nagar panchayat on Varanasi-Naugarh road, which is about 56 km away from Varanasi district .
