Types of Rudrabhishek and their special significance
Rudhrabhishek 1 Shastri :-
This Rudrabhishek is performed by one priest (Shastri) only. In this ritual the Lingam is washed with the water which must constantly keep falling on the Lingam through a vessel amid consistent chanting of Vedic mantra called the Rudra Sookt. The ritual comprises Lakshmi Ganesh Puja and is followed by decoration of the deity with lotus flowers, rose and green Bel leaves. Rudrabhishek is considered to bring wealth, harmony and strength to deal with adversities, and removes negative energy besides protecting from evil forces.
Rudhrabhishek 5 Shastri :-
In this Rudrabhishek there are five priests (Shastris) present to perform the ritual. It also includes washing the Lingam with water which must constantly keep falling through a vessel amid chanting of Vedic mantras. The deity is decorated with lotus flowers, rose and green bel leaves.

This Rudrabhishek has eleven priests (Shastris) present to perform the ritual. The ritual includes washing the Lingam with water which must constantly keep falling through a vessel amid chanting of Vedic mantras. The deity is decorated with lotus flowers, rose and green bel leaves.
Laghu Rudhra :-
Laghu Rudra Puja is performed for prosperity and happiness. In this ritual the Abhishek (washing) of Lord Shiva is done by devotees by offering Ganga Jal and milk, followed by Lingokta Bhadra Puja. In Laghurudra 11 Brahmin Jap Rudri Path(5th Lesson) 11 times, means total 121 Rudri Path has been jap & it takes near about 2.30 hours.
Rudhrabhishek 11 Shastri 11 Days :-
This elaborated ritual is a Maha Rudrabhishek that continues for 11 days and organized by eleven Shastris (Pandits). The eleven priests guide the devotees throughout the ritual. It is performed both in morning and evening. Flowers and milk are offered to the Lingam.
