Great Australian cricket legend Steve Waugh visited Varanasi on 7th March 2017,
for immersion of ashes (Asthi Visarjan) of his friend Brian Rudd.

He was here on a philanthropic mission of performing last rites of his shoe-shiner friend "Brian Rudd" as he did not have family. Steve added a new dimension, to Indian philosophical thoughts of "vasudhaiva kutumbakam" means "the world is one family" and "sarve bhavantu sukhinah" means "May all become happy" as soon as he immersed the ashes of his friend Brian Ruddin River Ganga at Manikarnika Ghat .

Mr. Santosh Kumar Singh and Mr.Prashant Verma , both the partners of Holy Voyages themselves come forward to manage the whole VVIP visit of Steve Waugh with utmost care and executed plans of immersion of ashes of Steve’s friend at World’s largest crematorium ground Manikarnika Ghat. Where all the communication with Steve’s manager was directly handled in supervision of Mr. Prashant Verma while, the complete execution plan was handled under supervision of Mr. Santosh Kumar Singh .

Steve Waugh visited Varanasi on 7 March, 2017. He was garlanded by Santosh Kumar Singh, Partner Holy Voyages, at Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport Varanasi. To make Steve’s visit safe and go smoothly in Varanasi, we provided two of our staff members Mr.Aman Singh and Mr. Dileep Singh to escort Steve Waugh on his entire journey.
Holy Voyages made all arrangements for immersion of ashes of Steve’s friend Brian Rudd to make his last wish come true. Immersion was set to be done at famous Manikarnika Ghat which sees burning of nearly 300 corpses daily. The famous Purohit Mr. Raju Pandit of Varanasi helped in performing the Asthi Visarjan to give salvation to his friend Brian Rudd. He was taken to the mid of Holy River Ganges by a Motor boat from Dashashvamedh Ghat. Once boat reach in front of Manikarnika Ghat, Steve pours the ashes in Ganga with the help of Purohit who was chanting the special Mantras of salvation.
Latter Steve enjoyed the motor ride from Dashashvamedh Ghat to Harishchandra Ghat and then Chausathi Ghat in Varanasi. He spent some time at Ghats and met few sadhu/sanyasi and local purohit near river Ganga which was fully guided by Mr. Santosh Singh. Latter, he was taken to Hotel Taj for Lunch. After spending some time in hotel, he was again driven back to Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport for departure to Australia with his successful trip in Varanasi.
