Raneh and Pandav falls are the two most beautiful falls near Khajuraho. This is the hot picnic spot for the visitors. The continuous water falling from a height is a wonderful scene to watch.
Pandava Waterfalls
Pandava waterfall on the Ken River is located at a distance of 30 km from Khajuraho, Pandava waterfalls are so called because it is place where Pandavas spent most of their time when they are in exile.
Raneh Falls
Raneh Falls is located at a distance of 20 km from Khajurao. Raneh Falls are famous for the lovely rock formations on the River Ken. In addition to this multicolored pure crystalline granite canyon, which is 5 km long and about 100 ft deep, in varying shades of pink, red and gray, there are a number of seasonal waterfalls in the nearby wooded area which makes the place a perfect place for picnic spot.
How To Reach:
By Air
If you are travelling by air then the nearest airport you will find is the Khajuraho airport. It is just 22 km away from Raneh Falls. The good thing about the airport is that it is well connected to all the other big airports in the country. This means you can have the convenience to travel from any part of the country you are. There are regular flights from Delhi airports. Once you reach Khajuraho airport, you need to take the road. For this, you need to book a cab from the airport.
By Train
For those who are travelling by train will find Chhatarpur station to be the nearest. It is around 75 km away from the falls. But this shouldn’t be a problem as the station is well connected with all the main cities and towns of the state. Not just that but it is connected to other bug stations outside the state as well.
By Road
The next option we have is by road which is considered to be one of the best options. You can board several governments owned buses to reach the place. Since Raneh Falls is located close to the famous Khajuraho temple, you can easily access it by bus. Once you reach the city, you can take a cab from there to reach Raneh falls.
Entry Fees and Timings of Raneh Falls
Timings: 6 AM - 6 PM
On Wednesdays, the falls are open from 6 AM to 12 PM.
Entry Fees: Rs. 50 per person and Rs. 300 for a car
