One of the most ambitious project for the tourism sector of the city,  the Virtual Experiential Museum (VEM) developed at Man Mahal, will be finally open for the public after its    inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi  during his visit to the city on Saturday. The museum, which gives a cultural and spiritual tour of the city, has been awaiting its formal inauguration since February. 
 
          
                
             The PM will  inaugurate the museum after launching the mega plantation drive and attending the BJP’s nationwide membership  campaign during his five-hour stay in the city on Saturday. As per the final itinerary of the PM’s visit received by the district administration, Modi, after landing at LBS international Airport, will unveil the bronze statue of former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri outside the terminal building at around 10.30am. From here, he will leave for Harahua to launch the mega plantation drive of the state  government by planting saplings at a primary school located along Panchkoshi Parikrama road.  
          
             
             The PM will then go to  Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Trade Facilitation Centre to attend the BJP’s nationwide membership campaign, said BJP Kashi region unit spokesman Navratan Rathi adding that the PM will also launch a toll free number for the campaign. After one-hour stay at DDU-TFC Modi will leave for police lines by chopper. From police lines, Modi will reach Dashaswamedh by road to inaugurate the VEM at Maan Mahal. District magistrate Surendra Singh said that all necessary arrangements and preparations for the PM’s visit have been completed. 
The museum, designed to give the visitors a cultural and spiritual tour of the city, is divided into eight major sections. 
           
            
             
             The  Archaeological Survey of India (ASI)   protected Maan Mahal also has an observatory on its top floor.
