The Dev Deepawali celebrations in Varanasi this year were just as grand as every year. But the highlight of the festival this time was the presence of actor Anil Kapoor.
The 'Mr India' actor enthusiastically took part in the celebrations that took place at the Dashashwamedh Ghat and also performed the Ganga Aarti on the occasion.

Looking dapper in an embroidered off-white jacket and pyjama-kurta, Kapoor arrived in style in a bajra on the ghat.
He greeted the people gathered at the ghat with a namaskar and said, "I wish this celebration becomes more grand with each passing year. Iss Dev Deepawali ke shubh avsar par Ganga ma se meri prarthana hai ki aap sab ko hamesha sukhi rakhein," he said as the air reverberated with the sound of Har Har Gange!!
Dev Deepawali is celebrated a few days after Diwali in which thousands of diyas are lit on the steps of the ghats in Varanasi.
Anil Kapoor also performed Ganga Aarti at the ghat as part of the celebrations (BCCL/ Unmesh Pandey).
The event also witnessed the presence of UP Governor Ram Naik, union minister Piyush Goel, UP CM Yogi Adityanath and Rita Bahuguna Joshi, among others. Sufi and Bollywood singer Harshdeep Kaur also performed on the occasion.
