 World Tourism Day 2020 in Varanasi

World Tourism Day is also being celebrated in Varanasi today. Sunday, a roller skating and cycle rally was organized with the cooperation of Tourism India Varanasi and District Administration on the theme of 'Tourism and Rural Development'. In which people were made aware.

The cycle rally, which took place at 7 am from the Tourism India office of the Cantonment area, ended via the Post Office Square, Doordarshan Square, Ashiana Mor, coming back to the Tourism Office through several hotels in the Cantonment area. People from the tourism sector gathered following the Kovid-19 protocol.

Prior to the rally, the medical team (Dr. Sanjay Dubey) on behalf of Buddhist Inbound Tourist Faternity (BITF) did thermal screening and sanitizing in view of the Corona crisis. Everyone wore masks by the Rotary Club. India Tourism Varanasi presented India Tourism T-shirts to everyone involved in rally and skating.

The roller skating team of girls present on behalf of Tourist Guide Association (TGA) and Cycle Rally of Tourism Welfare Association (TWA) was flagged off by Amit Gupta, Local Manager and Assistant Director, India Tourism Varanasi.

Traffic police interceptor van and phantom squad were present for the precautionary skating and cycle rally. The rally was attended by Vikram Singh, Subhash Kapoor, Dr. Ajay Singh, Akhilesh Kumar, Zainendra Rai, Saurabh Shukla, Nilesh, Rahul Mehta, Anil Tripathi, Avnish Pathak, Abhishek Singh Jitendra Singh, Santosh Singh, Rehan, Rajeev Pandey, Aman Chaudhary, Sanjay Gupta, Vinod Yadav and Majid Khan etc. joined.

Local manager and assistant director of India Tourism Varanasi Amit Gupta said that special welcome and tourism awareness message is being broadcast by the Railway Announcement by Indian Railways, India Tourism and Tourist Guide Association (TGA) at Cantt railway station.
