Day Tour :- Varanasi - Vindhyachal Sithamardhi- Allahabad– Varanasi
Pickup from Hotel/Residence in Varanasi and drive to Vindhyachal , one of the constituent towns of the Mirzapur .
Vindhyachal is situated in the middle of the two holy cities- Allahabad and Varanasi on the bank of River Ganges in the Mirzapur district. The city is dedicated to Goddess Vindhyavasini and is one of the renowned Shaktipeethas of the country and an important religious and pilgrim centre.
It is believed that Goddess Durga had established herself here after killing the demon king Mahishasura. Thus, Goddess Durga is also known by the name of Vindhyavasini in this area .There are many other temples and water springs (locally known as Kunds) in the vicinity of the town.
Vindhyavasini, Ashtabhuja and Kali Khoh are three main Shakti temples here, located on the three corners of Vindhya Parvat also known as Saktipeeths.
Later drive to Sitamarhi . Sitamarhi is situated on the bank of River Ganges. It is believed to be the place where, Sita lived during her exile from Ayodhya. Her two sons Lav & Kush were born here. It is the place where she was engulfed into the earth. It is also known as Sita Samahit Sthal.
After that Later drive to Prayagraj Allahabad . we will cover the other spot in Allahabad like Hanuman Temple and Allahabad Fort . Latter proceed for Anand Bhavan - one of the country’s best-running museums in memory of Jawahar Lal Nehru. Swaraj Bhawan - the house where the former Prime Minister of India Mrs. Indira Gandhi was born and Jawahar Lal Nehru planetarium. Latter enjoy some time at Bharadwaj park/Alfred park (if have time and interest).
Later drive back to Varanasi & drop to Hotel/Residence.
