Overview

Yamunotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, is one of the four sacred Char Dham pilgrimage sites located in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. It marks the source of the Yamuna River and holds significant spiritual importance.

The temple was constructed in the 19th century by Maharani Guleria of Jaipur. According to mythology, bathing in the Yamuna River is believed to cleanse all sins and protect devotees from untimely death.
