Kedarnath Temple

Gauri Kund Temple
Gauri Kund Temple is dedicated to Goddess Parvati; the consort of Lord Shiva. Gauri Kund is the hot spring in which pilgrims take bath and offer worship in Gauri Kund Temple. This is the place where Gauri (incarnation of Goddess Parvati) did penance to get Lord Shiva.
Vasuki Tal
Vasuki Tal named after Legendry serpent Vasuki who keeps his shadow over Sleeping Lord Vishnu. It is believed that Vasuki Tal is the place where Lord Vishnu took bath. Lake has beautiful aquatic flowers and herbs flowering in it which are endemic to Himalayas.
Shankaracharya Samadhi
Shankaracharya; the revered spiritual leader in Hinduism visited Char Dham places of India. Shankaracharya took journey of Kedarnath in 8th Century and revived worship at Kedarnath Shrine. Shankaracharya Samadhi is the resting place of Adi Guru Shankaracharya where he attained Moksha.
Bhairavanath Temple
Bhairava Nath also called Bhairon Nath is the Temple adjacent to Kedarnath. It is dedicated to Fierce Incarnation of Lord Shiva (Bhairava). From the temple you can have a stunning view of Kedar Valley.
Ukhimath Temple
Ukhimath named after Mythological Character Usha in Mahabharata; the place was earlier known as Ushamath. It is located near other temples and lakes. During the winters, the idols from Kedarnath Temple and Madhyamaheshwar are brought to Ukhimath and worshipped here for six months.
