Day 02 :
Haridwar – Mussoorie (100 KM/ 3 Hrs) - Kempty Falls- Barkot (210 KM/ 08 Hrs)
After breakfast drive to Barkot via Mussoorie , en-route visit Kempty Falls . Have your lunch at Kempty Falls. Later, drive straight to Barkot and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day is free to relax. In leisure time enjoy scenic beauty of mountains at Bandar Poonch. Barkot is an important stopover en route to Yamunotri and Gangotri of the Char Dham Pilgrimage Places in India .
Dinner and stay overnight at Barkot.
Day 03 :
Barkot – Phool Chatti – Hanuman Chatti –Janki Chatti - Yamunotri (60 KM) – Yamunotri Temple - Barkot (38 KM drive & 6 KM Trek (one side)
After breakfast, drive to Janki Chatti via Phool Chatti and Hanuman Chatti . Trek starts from Janki Chatti to Yamunotri (6 KM). You can reach the Yamunotri Temple from Janki Chatti by walk/ by horse or by Doli (at own cost). The trek passes through lush green valley, a profusion of conifers, rhododendrons, cacti and several species of Himalayan shrubs.
In Yamunotri, according to custom, cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice home as "Prasad". Here near the temple "Pooja" can be offered to Divya Shila . After taking bath in warn water of Jamunabai Kund, have "Darshan" of Holy "Yamunaji” (Goddess Yamuna) returning to Jankichatti.
Yamunotri is the origin of the River Yamuna, the twin sister of Yama, the Lord of Death. Yamuna is also the daughter of Surya the Sun (Surya Kund is dedicated to Surya). The actual source of the river originates from Champasar Glacier 1 km a head of the shrine.
Return back to Barkot. Have dinner and overnight stay in Barkot.
Day 05 :
Uttarkashi - Gangotri – Harsil Valley - Gangotri Devi Temple Uttarkashi (100 KM/ 3-4 KM Trek - one side)
After breakfast, drive to Gangotri , en-route at Gangnani take a holy dip in Kund, further drive to Gangotri via beautiful Harsil Valley. On arrival at Shree Gangotri, take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganges which is also called Bhagirathi at its origin.
Perform Pooja and Darshan in Gangotri Devi Temple . Other Places to visit in Gangotri is Gomukh & Gangotri Glacier , Kedar Taal , Submerged Shivlingam , Kedar Ganga Sangam , Swami Sundaranand Viewpoint , Nelong Valley , Harsil Valley , Auden’s Col , Dharali , Jogin Peaks and Tapovan Trek . After visit relax for some time in the lovely surroundings.
Return back to Uttarkashi. Have dinner and overnight stay at Uttarkashi.
Day 07 :
Rishikesh - Haridwar - Delhi (250 KM / 7-8 Hrs by drive)
After breakfast, transfer to Haridwar Railway Station / Dehradun Airport for Delhi . Drop to Delhi Airport/Railway Station. Return with rejuvenating memories of Spiritual Trip of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham .
